Little Boy's Bow Ties

Since I've been working so much on little girl accessories, I thought I'd try and come up with something for all the little boys out there.......and seeing as I don't even have a girl, this way I can make something for Joey.  So, I went searching on the internet, Pinterest specifically, and I found some patterns for making Bow Ties for little boys.  I thought this would be so cute for Joey and any other little boy to wear to church or to a wedding, or any other special occasion.  So, I'm in the process for making a few and I'll be sure to post some pictures as soon as I have some finished!!!

Berets

I bought this beret pattern last week, it's meant to be a ladies pattern, but I adjusted it for a girls size.  And I have some ladies sizes coming.  It's a chunky knit, which is my favourite.

Stinky Kitchen Cloths

This post doesn't really go along with my usually posts, but I tried this trick and I had to share it with everyone!
One of my biggest pet peeves is a stinky kitchen cloth, it just grosses me out!  And all my cloths seem to get stinky with in weeks of buying brand new ones.  I've tried everything, always leaving them open to air dry, washing them with bleach, you name it.  And the cloths would come out smelling fresh, but as soon as I got them wet they would be stinky again!  I got so sick of it all, that I've resorted to just throwing out the cloths when they get stinky and buying new ones!  (which, I know, isn't very cost effective)  So, a couple of months ago, I came across this little trick. (I don't remember where I read it) At the time, I had just bought a whole bunch of new cloths, so I haven't needed to try it until now.

Here is the secret to cleaning stinky cloths!!!!!!

1. Put all the stinky cloths in a pail or cleaning bucket

2. Pour enough vinegar on top to saturate them

3. Let them stand for 10 minutes

4. Throw everything in the bowl into the washing machine, and complete a washing cycle using warm or hot water

And there you have, fresh smelling kitchen cloths for more then just a day!!!

Some with bobby-pins, for girls with thinner hair.

Since I don't have a little girl, Joey was the next best thing I could find to model the headbands!!!  He was a good sport about it!!!
